When the new Disney Cinderella movie came out this year, my husband and I took our kids to go and see it. I remember growing up watching the classic Cinderella movie and my kids love it too. This new version was spectacular and my kids loved every part of it. When I saw my little Noor just mesmerized and on the edge of her seat as she watched it, I knew I had to recreate it somehow for her next birthday.
Although it’s sometimes hard to create a party based around a theme that is so over used, I love the challenge and try to think outside the box and create something unique. My goal is to make each event special and representative of who I’m planning the party for.
For this party I decided to play on the quote “Have Courage and Be Kind”. My little Noor, is the kindest and most generous 3 year old (although I may be a bit biased…haha). I just love the meaning behind this quote, so I incorporated it into a few of the decor pieces. I had the quote embroidered on a wedding napkin and personalized onto an, just as little hints throughout the dessert table.
To add some colour to the wall behind the dessert table, I created a paper flower backdrop. This was a project I had wanted to do for a while now and it fit so perfectly with the Cinderella theme. It was definitely a challenge and took over 20 hours to create, but it turned out beautifully and is still hanging as art in my living room! You’ll see more of these pretty paper flowers in tutorials coming soon!
I love the naked cake trend, but I decided to keep them mini and topped one with a . Under each mini cake, I placed a few to add to the cuteness of the whole mini look.
These beautiful come in a set of four, so I placed them around the table and added mini cheese cakes inside each one.
One of our sweet customers Subrina, owner of Cup a Cake made us some vanilla cupcakes. I dressed each cupcake with blue and topped them with .
These are just simple sugar cookies, topped with a little frosting and then dusted with some icing sugar. Super simple, but so pretty on a fancy .
These are a new item to the shop and just so cute! Inside is a whip cream fruit salad (dyed blue to match the party decor). I then added a to the inside of the lid, tied some twine to the top and added a small .
I added fresh flowers throughout and placed them into vintage mason jars and a pretty

My two favourite furniture items for this party included a beautiful blue corner cabinet and adorable pie crust table with wire cloche from my friend Lori, owner of Operation Magpie. As soon as I saw them in her shop, I knew they would fit in perfectly!
I also incorporated many charming and vintage decor items that were very representative of the Cinderella Movie.
The items in the pictures below are:
As always, I had so much fun creating this magical theme for my little princess Noor. I loved watching her examine all the items on the table and watching her twirl in her dress.
