Halloween Classroom Party

Last Friday we went to my daughter’s classroom and decorated for Halloween. Her sweet teacher is an avid baker and party planner, so she was very excited to let us take over her classroom. We set up a mini dessert table for a few of the kids that stayed after school to help out and model our Halloween tutus. With some banners and pin up decorations, we created a fun and festive corner for the kids.

Some fun teacher friendly items we used were:

Pumpkin, ghost, spider and bat cut outs. Add numbers, letters, or student names to these and pin up on a board for activities and games.

Halloween party favours are a great alternative to giving out candy. Kids can trade and collect the different shapes and toys.

Spooky glass clings can be added to milk bottles, cups, or windows. We used our black and orange polka dot washi tape as paper straw flags, but this paper tape can be used for any craft project.

You can’t have milk without some yummy cupcakes to go with it. These are just store bought cupcakes we placed inside black and orange ruffled baking cups and we added some orange candy pearls to pretty them up. The cupcake topper, party sign and favour tags are part of an adorable printable collection by Sweet Pink Designs. You can find the entire Halloween printable set here.

Candy tubes are a popular party favour. You can fill with any type of candy and decorate to match your theme. We put together some Halloween gumball tubes and tied a favour tag to each one with some festive black and orange baker’s twine.

Happy Halloween banner, tissue fans and tissue pom pom decorations can be hung from the ceiling or pinned to any classroom activity board.

We draped the children’s art table with an orange paper table cloth and Halloween mesh over lay. We even added some creepy cobwebs to inspire some creative Halloween drawings and crafts!

We had a blast decorating this classroom and already planning for the next holiday!

Happy party planning and I hope you have fun decorating your home or classroom for Halloween!
