This pretty grey and rose Mother’s Day sign inspired me to create something special to honour my amazing Mom on a very special day.
I absolutely love the colour combination of rose or light pink and grey. It is such a soft and elegant colour pallet that can be used for any type of occasion, especially a Bridal Shower, Wedding, Birthday, and of course Mother’s Day!
I carried the ‘rose’ theme throughout the desserts as well by making a chocolate and rose water buttercream cake decorated with beautiful rose swirls. It was so decadent and delicious! The same rose water buttercream was used inside the earl gray mini macarons. For the kids, I made some fun vanilla push pop cakes. They were so easy and fun to make. I will be posting a tutorial showing how I made them very soon!
The cake banner was made with a heart shaped punch, pink baker’s twine and two grey paper straws.
My kids had fun helping me stamp these wooden utensils with sweet words. Guests took home left over heart shaped cookies and mini macarons in these cute little paper bags.
We had such a great day with family and friends and most importantly celebrating all the wonderful Mothers out there!
