Valentine’s Day Party Table

The theme for our Valentine’s day party table was “Mint To Be My Valentine”  and the colors we used were light pink, hot pink, white, and mint green.  We wanted to create a dreamy effect with all the tulle poms in the background and add glitter to make it sparkle.

Using our Silhouette Cameo machine we cut out some mint green glitter hearts.  We then attached them to pink twine, creating a garland to drape along the front of the table.  These little hints of mint green added such a sweet touch and tied in our “Mint to be my Valentine” banner.  We also used our Silhouette Cameo for the banner by cutting out the white flags and pink letters.   The banner was hung in the background in front of many tulle poms we created in various sizes and colours.  We will soon be posting a tutorial on how to make these beautiful tulle poms!

For the Candy treat bags we used our heart punch to cut out some glitter hearts.  We then glued 1 of the hearts to a sparkly clothes pin and used them to clip the top of the bags closed.  A stripe of glitter tape was added along the crease of the bag as well as three glitter hearts in different shades of pink.

The milk bottles were dazzled up with some pink gems along the rim of each bottle.  Glitter tape was used again along the center of each bottle with more pink hearts attached using foam tape.  This added dimension and contrast between the tape and heart.  After filling each bottle with some delicious and pretty pink lemonade, the bottles were finished off with a mint green paper straw.

We found some cherry flavored pink popcorn and could not resist using it.  We filled some large paper bags with the popcorn, punched a small hole near the top and strung some twine through tying the twine in a bow.  For the smaller popcorn bags we sealed the tops with our gold vinyl hearts.

These are the red velvet cupcakes in a jar that I made and will be given out as gifts to my kids’ teachers.  We will also be posting a video tutorial and blog teaching you how to make them, complete with my all time favorite recipe for cream cheese frosting!  Each jar includes a hand stamped wooden spoon tied with twine.

No party is complete without delicious cupcakes.  We used our Paper Eskimo baking cups and decorated each one with sprinkles, gummie hearts, and green sixlets.

This Valentine’s day table incorporated all the things we love: pink, glitter, sparkle, delicious desserts and pretty decor. You can learn more about the different DIY projects we did for this table by visiting our Youtube channel here.
